01
School of Urban Leadership
Planning, public policy, placemaking, and the everyday stack of water, energy, food, mobility, land-use, data.
Companion inquiry
What does a university look like when it is built from a place?
The longer arc that runs alongside the residency, a working university grown from ground the residency already knows. The two share curation, a cohort and a question, and they run as separate programmes.
Three lenses · one habitat
01
Planning, public policy, placemaking, and the everyday stack of water, energy, food, mobility, land-use, data.
02
Art in public spaces, art reimagined, art × new media, the living-arts surface of the habitat.
03
Forestry and biodiversity, water conservation, soil rejuvenation, historicity, heritage held as living practice.
Mandala, the symbol of completeness, the world as one family (vasudhaiva kutumbakam), is held as the organising image. Experiential first. Holistic. Multi-disciplinary. Lifelong.
Where the two meet
Ground Truth is the first season of Project Mandala and the 2027 chapter of the residency: the same week, read two ways. It was scoped during the Singapore week and lands at Dhun, a 500-acre habitat in Rajasthan where barren land is becoming a human-scale neighbourhood for around 8,500 people.
The season culminates in a commissioned public artwork sited inside the new neighbourhood. The commission is the visible artefact; the institutional work is what compounds.
